Coronado Historic District

1412 E Yale Street
If you're looking for a historic home in Phoenix, you've realized we don't have a lot of them and most are in Central Phoenix and close to Downtown.  One of the more popular is the Coronado Historic District.  Coronado is located basically from McDowell on the south, Virgina on the north, 7th Street on the west and 14th Street on the east.  This area was originally built for the working class people of early Phoenix and has many homes of many different styles.

2541 N Dayton Street
Many of the homes in Coronado have been remodeled and many are still very original.  So if you're looking for a 1940's original kitchen, you'll have a good chance of finding it here.  Most homes were originally 2 bedrooms and 1 baths with a fireplace for heat in the winter.  Some homes are still original and many have been added with an extra bedroom and/or bathroom.

Here are a few homes currently for sale in Coronado.

1412 E Yale Street, 3 bed, 2 bath, 1232 sf, built in 1945, Pictured above.  Listed for $175,000

Portland II in Roosevelt Row Arts District

If you're thinking you'd like to live in the Roosevelt Row Arts District, check out Portland II.  They were originally started a few years ago and the economy stalled the project but didn't kill it.  The are 4 new condos that are up and as of this writing, 2 are occupied.  There are 5 more under construction and about 10 more in various stages of breaking ground.

Portland II is located just off 7th Street and Roosevelt.  Just a block from the First Friday Art Walk and walking distance to everything in Downtown Phoenix including the Light Rail.

The standard features are all upgrades over what you may be use to seeing so very few are needed when you go to the design center.  Granite counters, upgraded cabinets, wood floors and tile.  All kitchens have undermount sinks and tiled back splashes.

Each unit have a great room floor plan on the living floor and some have options for the kitchen between the living room and dining room. Also, if you get into a contract for one soon enough, you can pick your own flooring, kitchen cabinets and a few other options.
